There are two training events being run by Organisational Development this week.
Creating interactive resources with Office Mix
Tuesday 24 October 2017 (10 am – 12 pm)
Some staff in Arts & Humanities are already creating interesting and interactive resources using Office Mix, if you’re interested in joining them, this might be the training for you. We use Office Mix to create our how-to videos, and find it quick and easy to use.
Getting to Grips with Office 365 (CLIFTON)
Wednesday 25 October 2017 (2 pm – 3 pm)
Office 365 and OneDrive are becoming popular in Arts & Humanities as they allow staff to work collaboratively online, and make it much easier to work whilst out and about off campus. This training session will also give you the opportunity to see Forms in action. See our blog post on Forms for a sneak preview.

Student digital experience tracker 2017
Hot of the press from Jisc, this report shares key findings from a survey of 22,000 students from 74 UK organisations. The survey explored students’ and learners’ experience of digitally enhanced learning.
Collaborative technologies, higher order thinking and self-sufficient learning: A case study of adult learners
“…this study aims to add further evidence by looking specifically at the use of collaborative technologies such as online discussion forums and wikis to encourage higher order thinking and self-sufficient learning.”

Rachel (Bancroft) has been using SetMore with staff to enable students to book tutorials online. It’s quick to set up and easy to use. We wrote a blog post about Setmore a while ago, and if you’re interested in using it, you are welcome to contact us for help.
